Negative Space - post 5

Grenoble logo by Fabian Laborie - Montreal, Quebec, Canada

While researching logo designs for business cards and envelopes I came upon this design for Grenoble. It relates to the Osaka Tourism brand because it is representing a European city from the Middle Ages. The logo consists of a lion eating a snake in the foreground and a shield in the background. When combined the lion is created using negative space. It is a very fantastical image which says something about the folklore of the city and conveys that it is a medieval city.

The colors are two shades of blue with white as negative space. It changes the feel of the logo depending on which bits are blue or white.  the type is a very clean sans serif font that is inviting and simple.

The designer is Fabien Laborie of Quebec, Canada
